Time to leave Silent Hill...

And with it, I leave Silent Hill, my mind totally raped. I've just completed Silent Hill 3, making it my 3rd game completed in 2008. SH3 is a direct sequel to the first Silent Hill game, and I must say, of the 3 games, I like the 3rd the best. It contains the most plot and character development yet. It is here that I consider the series complete. Yes, I know that there is a Silent Hill 4, but from what I know about it so far, I know that it is meant to be a standalone game in the series. It has just the tiniest connection to Silent Hill 2, but other than that, it is not part of the main storyline, so for now, I plan to skip it.
Final thoughts: as all of the SH games are, they can be completed in under 7 hours. They're short. Unlike Resident Evil, who prides itself on sudden things to make you jump, Silent Hill makes you uneasy the entire way through. Each step has to be taken with caution, because you haven't a clue what's going to happen next. Combine that with an ambient soundtrack of digusting, inhuman, and downright grating music, this makes for a nice psychological thriller. Many questions created in the first game are answered here in the 3rd, and for it, I enjoyed it.
