Some quick blurbs in my daily goings-on...
The continued heathenizing of my desk presses on. I'm awaiting the gay pride and Flying Spaghetti Monster stuff to come in, and soon I'll add some pagan stuff to the cube. And why not? Besides, the Darwin fish is currently lonely. Then I have all the bumper stickers to order. I bought the Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster last night, and I'll keep it at the desk. Granted, it's much thinner than the big fat Bible my boss keeps at her desk, but it'll be there nonetheless.
In other news, we're getting ready for another round of overtime at work (only for a week though), which will be nice to pad my paycheck with. March 9th sees the release of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and in the meantime, I'm slowly getting April to play Super Smash Bros. Melee with me. She likes it--it's pointless, nonsensical fun. Plus factor for me.
Our friend Kristin comes up here in 9 days, she'll be spending a week here. April's taking off the whole week leading up to Easter, I'm taking a couple of days off. That should be some fun times, I think.
I have to put in my 2 weeks of notice in at the portrait studio soon. As I'm taking the weekend before Easter and also Easter weekend off, I'm going to work the 2 weekends after Easter and then call it a winter. I haven't made any trips to NP yet, and I miss the Mary, James, Wyatt, Shanti, Brie, and all the others down there. April's birthday is April 16, and I am wanting to plan a weekend with y'all up here. Mary--your ovaries are not allowed to be silly this time. Leave them at home or something. You're not using them currently anyway. ;)
The Battle Royal contest is nearing its end--it actually comes to an end in about 2 weeks. March 19th is the current ending date, and with it, it'll end a string of 8 large-scale contests held over the last 4 years. And honestly? I love doing these things, but I can't wait for it to end. I've been neglecting my games for far too long, and I'd like my evenings back. However, this contest has been fucking amazing. Definitely one to remember.
I have to purchase tickets soon for concerts and stuff for the summer: the three I want to attend at Tanglewood, some baseball games, and probably a couple others floating around in there.
And I think that's it for the moment...work soon.
