So, status report part 2, picking up from yesterday.
I had nothing planned for Friday, so after waking up, played a bit of Dragon Warrior 1 and officially beat it (woo!) and have moved on to DW2. Around noon or so, I went out to grab a bite at Dunkin' Donuts...and found, to my shock, that this was an officially, sanctioned kosher Dunkin' Donuts. Meatless and all. Took me by surprise, but I had some Jewy Dunkin' Donuts, and then headed to Lake Street, out near the edge of Sloatsburg. Needless to say, Lake Street has barely changed since I left there 5 years ago. Most of the old neighbors have gone, via moving out or eviction, but it was to my surprise that the people I'd come to see were still around, and I hung out with them for about 3 hours. I smelled like cigarette smoke when it was all done, but it was fun times. Great to see Josh, April (not our lovely), and her sister Jamie (my stepbrother's ex).
In the late afternoon, I went to the Sloatsburg library on a hope that another former friend from high school and McD's was there, a certain Liz. Luck would happen again as she was present, and I spent a little over an hour there chatting with her while the library was dead. With nothing else to do, I went back to Dan's, and loafed for a bit, sat outside with Dan's dad while watching the amazing variety of birds beat each other up at the birdfeeders, and got to see a wild turkey crossing a road. Had dinner, and continued to veg for a bit. I did get to meet up with Sara, she came over the house for a little bit, we chatted. She and Shanna are on their way to hunting down an apartment--Nerd Central, Sara calls it--and I look forward to visiting when that happens...I've already been given a standing invite. And that pretty much wrapped up my night. Dan came back home, we loafed, and that was Friday.
Today, the Dans and Carolyn have already left for Cape May, which means I am currently by myself as I type this, but not for too much longer...I'm picking up Annie in a hour or so, we're gonna head out and bowl, come back for dinner, and then go out again for more fun times. Tomorrow, I have to hit up Rockland Bakery and bring back a supply of orgasmic bread before I make the trip back home. And it'll wrap up my trip here. Good thing, too...I'm beginning to miss both April and Kristin. While I am surely enjoying my time here, it will be nice to come back to the loves. It gets rather cold downstairs...I miss my warm bodies to cozy up with. Hopefully you two are doing well. (hugs you both)
In the meantime, food awaits, and then the day with Annie. See y'all tomorrow.
