a_bit_of_wit_2Another week over, another weekend is here. I'll be here this weekend, actually...first time in 3 weeks, since the trip in Ramapo and last Saturday's romp at the Mayfaire. Great fun, the Faire...Mary got some garb and looked quite sexy, if I do say so myself. It's particularly gratifying to be in the company of two women who have their breasts prominently displayed in true RenFaire fashion. While there, got myself a replica gun to go with my pirate costume. Yarrr. Now all's I want is another hat, and weeee! We got to see NeidFyre once again, this time equipped with finger puppets. Suddenly, it was like watching Jeff Dunham. I got my ass groped a few times by her, all in good fun, and got to see her perform. After Faire's end, it was back to New Paltz, where April and I left and headed to the Plaza Diner, where we sat and ate with some of the Faire performers, including NeidFyre. It almost felt like a backstage pass, eating with some of the actors and musicians, and it was quite awesome. Then it was back home, and sleep was had.
April and I celebrated our 4-year anniversary on May 5th...damn, has it really been that long? Certainly doesn't feel like it. I got for her the first volume in a set of annotated Sherlock Holmes stories, and she got me the first Looney Tunes DVD collection--my god, I can be 5 again!
It's been an interesting ride over these last 4 years, my love...and I look forward to many more with you.
Work was, of course, work, and boring. I did take Wednesday off, I wasn't feeling too well. Apparently all I needed was an extra 5 or 6 hours of sleep. In the meantime, I received a couple of canvass letters for job openings in the state, promotions. April got her promotion, I want mine, damn it. KEEP TRY! Those letters of interest have indeed gone back. One of them is a shot at a promotion that, if by some miracle I get it, will increase my current salary by about $11,000. So wish me luck.
Other than that, I've been playing a shitload of Mario Kart Wii and Dragon Warrior II. And I like both of them immensely. Also, this upcoming Wednesday will see the start of a 12-week bowling league for me. It's been about 6 years since I last did league play, and so I've been tuning up for it. Looks to be quite fun.
As for this weekend, tomorrow will be spent with Erica, Peter, and Luc as we pick up where we left off in our D&D game, and I will continue to familiarize myself in this introduction of a D&D campaign. Sunday will be spent in Albany at April's parents for a combination of her mom's birthday and Mother's Day. But I do fit in some sleep and sex during the weekend, so all in all, looks to be a good weekend.
Finally, there's less than a week left (5 days, actually) for signups into the Character Battle Tournament of Champions. To enter:
