Announcing: Signups for Character Battle 9 have begun!

The overview: Welcome to my ninth character battle contest! The theme for this contest was in large part chosen by you over the summer--the survival horror genre. It's a clash between the Silent Hill and Resident Evil universes. This is a standard single elimination style, comprised of 64 characters pulled from the two series, with 32 characters from each, divided into two divisions. The object here, as usual, is to gain the most points to win the prize! This FAQ will cover everything you ever wanted to know about this contest. Once again, it is being hosted on my LiveJournal and on Fantasy World.

For returning players: the contest remains, overall, the same, but with a few major differences from Battle Royal:

--64 characters instead of 128.
--Prizes go back to the normal structure for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd ($50, $25, $20)
--Points are slightly different (basically, I just lobbed off the points for the Tournament Final...there is no separate Tournament Final, since there are only 2 divisions instead of 4)
--Losers' Match predictions do NOT have to be manually told to me. You can do it right on the Bracket Maker site now.

All entries must be completed and officially done by midnight, December 25. Bracket Maker puts its cutoff at midnight, Pacific Time. I will not accept any late entries.

The contest will begin around 7:30 PM Eastern Time on January 5.
