a_bit_of_wit_275% of the contest is now history. 16 characters remain, 16 battles remain. And it's still anyone's game. Even though Nilfalasiel still holds the top spot, the bulls-eye on her only gets bigger as the points double again, for it is now 100 points for a fully correct prediction, 50 for getting just the winner, and 0 if you're wrong. As for the battles that just ended, Liquid Snake once again closed the round out with an authoritative win, knocking the FROG clear off. However, as I hoped, Volgin and Fortune would be close. I didn't think 1 vote would be the deciding factor, but Fortune took the win. There was no tiebreaker vote--it was tied on LJ, whereas Fortune held on by a vote on Late to the Party to take the close win. There is a podcast being recorded tonight, in which Round 2 will be recapped--so I may not get to the visual leaderboard tonight. With that said, I wish you luck in these Quarterfinals.
