From one insane asylum to the next.

12 hours after my shift ended Friday night, I was back to the hellhole once more, this time for an 8 hour bout with asswipe managers. There's just something about being asked to do a million things at once that get me pissed off. They have me making roadkill (which are the hamburger patties), and while running to make that, the managers ask me to do a million other things on top of that at once. So I prioritize, doing what must be done first, yet they get pissed off when they don't get what they ask for. Sorry. There's not 5 of me to go around. It just doesn't work. Anyway...at 8 last night, left, and went to Convenient to pick up some stuff for the night's gathering of people, the main event being Eternal Darkness. I happen to bump into Wyatt and Tom, and we head back to my dorm. With all the lights off, so began the next survivial horror game to my repertoire. However, this eerie quiet didn't last when my suitemates brought a shitload of their friends back, blared music and proceeded to get plastered. It was here where Tom had the bright idea for us to go back to his apartment, where a bigger TV and quiet could be had. We would also stay the night. Why the hell not? So we packed up and headed to his apartment--Wyatt/Michelle, Tom, and I--and the fun began. Needless to say, that game is awesome! Scared me at times, because unlike RE, known for sudden surprises, this game fucks with your head. In the game, your character loses sanity, and the more you lose, stranger things happen. When there's no sanity left...oh, dear. The game fucks with your head. Walking down a hall, the game shut itself off...or so I thought. Then someone turned down the volume...but no one did. I used a healing spell and the character exploded...not really. Oh, yeah...deep psychological damage. I love it. There were points where I was shaking, my heart pounding as I ventured into each door. And Michelle whimpering didn't help much, either. Tom...I never saw him so giddy when I beheaded an innocent monk. I thought he might have had an orgasm or something...and of course, the shower scene which almost shit the pants of everyone present. The game is well worth, already, the $16 I paid for it.
After over 4 hours of playing, it was decided we call it a night (since it was about 3 AM by this point). At 10 this morning, we were woken up, and Tom took us back to campus. Now...here I am. And I don't wanna go to work, even though it's only 2 to 8 today. Tomorrow will be well worth the rest.
Eternal Darkness must be played only at night, in an area where there's no light. Or, a really dark place will do. That's all I have to say on that.
Now to see what Sunday has to throw at me...
