Work started off on a sleepy note. However, 20 ounces of grog, and I was coasting. And surprisingly, I had no religious fanatical encounters, for the Electronics department had a stroke of genius--they had a 4-sided display stocked to the brim with "The Passion..." DVDs and VHS. And they put it right in the front of the store, making it the first thing people saw. As a result, all the zealots didn't have to go back to Electronics. Work was uneventful, and at the end, I turned in my badge, vest, and card, and left
In terms of my FF Contest, which ended tonight (after 2 months of battles), Laguna Loire ended up beating Sephiroth, 20-17. As a result, the points from the victory gave Sarah the win, myself 145 points behind her in 2nd place. Bri came in 3rd. Congratulations, Sarah!
Imagine the look on everyone's face when they find out that the favorite of the entire contest lost by a narrow margin, lost to a character no one ever thought would make it to the final battle. Think of it like the Marlins beating the Yankees in last year's World Series.
So now, I'm no longer a Wal-Mart employee. I have the next 3 days to pack and get my stuff together, and Saturday--I'm bound for North Adams.
Now, since I'm off, time to sleep in.
