She even makes my family lose control of English.
Thursday, 25 November 2004 02:02It's been a few days since I last posted, and I've been very busy since Monday. To sum it up, yesterday was quite harrowing. My roomie had left early to go back home, so I had the room to myself. Of course, on the only day where I've had the room all to myself, I have to work a 9 hour shift and then have to get to bed early so I could wake refreshed this morning with April. Lovely. So, today, woke at 7:45, and finished packing the rest of my stuff, and then we left, heading to Dunkin' Donuts for breakfast, where I decided I want the industrial bagel slicer--that just looks like too much fun. Then came the 4 hour drive to the Cape, in which I plugged my laptop into April's car, and I added another 2,000 words to the NaNo novel, playing catch-up. We arrived, and April met all of them in sections, and we were glad to be home. After some nice chatting with Bob and family, Bob, Heather, Jim, April, and I headed to Seafood Sam's, a delicious seafood place. They close Sunday for the rest of the year, until spring. We then went to T.J. Maxx to surprise Mom, and after getting Mom and Sarah, got back here, and April and I hung with Rob, having fun, then going up for more chat with family. Rob wanted to go to Wal-Mart to buy me a birthday gift, so we went, and he bought me Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. YAY!!! Can't wait to start it! Bob, Rob, April and I got chinese food to take home, and we ate. April, tired after driving, went to sleep. Rob, after buying Silent Hill 4 and playing it for a while, is also in bed.
Memories of last summer come flooding back to me as I write this...it's like summer again: I'm in the basement, Rob is asleep, and I'm here, awake, talking to Sarah online. One difference--April's sleeping in my bed. However, it feels like summer. Tomorrow, TURKEY DAY!!! PIGGING OUT IS IN ORDER!!!
And also, I think I've done the most writing in 1 day since NaNo began--I wrote about 4,000 words today, bringing the total tally up to 41,077/50,000. The end is in sight!!! However, looking ahead to the rest of the game/novel, it's going to come down to the wire--I'll either be just short or just over the mark. Hopefully, I'll clear it.
Another instance in the way of life reared its head: the possibility of me leaving MCLA, and taking the spring off is looking very, very likely. I'm down to my final option, LendingTree, and if that fails, I'm done with college life for a while. I've been preparing myself for it, and while it's going to be a blow, more good may come of it. Granted, I won't see April anywhere near as much, and I'll be back in the world of total insanity...but if it's what I have to do, then I have to do it. However, there still lies one major issue--even if I do go home for the spring, I still have to pay MCLA for THIS semester, otherwise they hold my transcript/grades.
In the meantime, Turkey Day, and I can't wait to pig out.
Nighty night, all.
