In other news, I didn't get the promotion I was gunning for, and at least I was told why--the supervisor interviewing me felt that while I was a good candidate, much of the work involves looking at hard copies and detail, very repetitive work, and felt that I was too technical of a person (ie, too tech-savvy) to be doing mundane paper flipping. While I'd be a good worker to start, he said that he felt that I'd get bored very quickly, and that hiring me would be a great injustice to myself. So I thanked him for his honesty and that was that.
