Et in terra chicken pox romana.
Wednesday, 16 April 2008 08:12First and foremost, happy birthday to our lovely April! And even though I did leave you Facebook posts, happy birthday to Dan D. and Carolyn, who had theirs earlier this week. Who's next...James, I think. But no matter. Tonight, at April's request, I'll be taking her to the Olive Garden for dinner, which is fine by me. I haven't been there since my 21st birthday, so I think I'm due for another trip there.
In other news, plans for my trip to Ramapo continue, as I've been busy making arrangements with friends to hang out with during my time there. After checking my finances today (as today is pay day for me), my suspicion was confirmed, and that I will not be going to Cape May with Carolyn and the Dans. I will remain in Ramapo to hang out. I've yet to see Al Kral online these last couple of days, because I definitely wish to hang out with him and Jose at some point, and do what we used to do all the time--game for hours. And with the advent of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, I look forward to it. For the moment, my lodging situation seems to be pretty much set--I'll be at Dan H's house for the weekdays I am there, and will then spend a night in a hotel on that Saturday while the three go to Cape May. This is, of course, provided nothing is wrong with the car. The "check whatever" (that's the thing about my car, you see--it doesn't have a proper Check Engine light--just one light that acts as a catch-all if something is awry. The check whatever light means that SOMETHING in your car is not right, but they're not going to be specific and tell you what)light came on a few days ago, and now the car is making some very awful noises which I plan to get checked tomorrow. Car's not supposed to make grinding, dragging noises when you hit the brake. And nothing is hanging off the car either. It needs to go to Jiffy Lube anyway, maybe they can tell me what's up if they can't fix it there.
I have some money now, I can mail out some stuff this week or early next week to the top two winners of Battle Royal. Just need to print off some stuff.
I can also tell that D&D has begun to ensnare me into the trap of nerdular nerdence--I purchased some D&D dice. AAACK.
Oh, and my negative scanner comes today! (boingboingboing)
Ok, food, then work.
